Central Truth
The foundation of life is Jesus.
Reflections
We have a crack in the floor of our sun room. I have consulted with a building inspector/engineer. He told me that crack was caused by a weak corner in our foundation. We have hidden the small crack with a rug. So it is with life. We try to hide cracks, sins, faults, or failures. But hidden cracks are not corrected.
When I was a lad, my father tried to teach me that anything I do that is contrary to the Jesus foundation is wrong. He was correct. When I've tried to compromise parts of the Jesus foundation, the results have been wrong and painful. I thank God for His grace that corrects a faulty foundation.
